OBM Baumaschinen - Our history
* 18.11.1956 † 21.09.2012
In remembrance of our beloved founder
Josef Obermeier discovered his interest in machines already while he was working on his farm. Simultaneously to farming, he specialized in leasing and selling construction machines, by founding a new company. In June 2001, Josef Obermeier bought property located in Industriegebiet Nord (Amberg) at an auction. One year after, he founded OBM Baumaschinen GmbH, which he ran with great success for ten years.
After starting with a small vehicle fleet for lease, the company grew and started to increase his offers. In the meantime, OBM Baumaschinen GmbH can provide a wide range of construction machines and vehicles.
In September 2012, Maria Obermeier, Josef’s daughter, took the lead of the family-owned company.
By running the company with great passion and know-how, Maria was able to keep the company’s core customers and to acquire many new clients.
OBM Baumaschinen - Charity work
OBM Managing Director Maria Obermeier opened the company gates for the fourth time: visitors were able to try out mini excavators, crawlers and crawler excavators. Maria Obermeier donated the proceeds of €3,300 from the benefit dredging to the self-help group of children with cancer in Amberg-Sulzbach. (AZ: 22.01.2018)
Already for the fourth time the benefit dredging took place on December 9, 2017. A video contribution by Oberpfalz TV.

In December 2016 OBM Baumaschinen initiated again their so called “Benfiz-Baggern” at their company site. By asking for a voluntary donation, everybody who was interested, had the chance to test their skills with all types of construction machines. In total, an amount of 2.200 € was raised and donated to the “Selbsthilfegruppe krebskranker Kinder”, an organization which stands up for children suffering from cancer.
In December 2013, OBM Baumaschinen provided its machines for the “Weihnachts-Baggerei”, a charity event, where children and adults had the chance to steer construction machines under guidance by themselves. The raised amount was donated to the local Kindergarten.
Within the scope of their tenth anniversary, FLIKA, a charitable society at the St. Marien Hospital in Amberg invited for the first “Digger-Day”. OBM Baumaschinen provided various types of diggers. Young Digger-fans had the chance to watch, climb in and to try out diggers. Roughly 400 interested Digger-fans joined the event.
